10/11/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, light winds out of the east, 40 degrees, water temp 59 degrees.  Caught 6 smallmouth bass, 1 largemouth bass and a few perch.  The trip was supposed to be mostly for perch but they were hard to find, we only kept 3 that were over 10 inches.  The smallmouth bass were caught by accident in 6-8 ft of water.  Most of the fish were caught by Gage Marine or Elgin Club.  We fished mostly split shot rigged fat head minnows.

10/10/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, N winds at 10, air temp 40, water temp 59 degrees.  Caught 12 walleyes, 2 smallmouth and 2 largemouth.  Fished all day with jigging Rapalas in 24-29 ft of water.

10/6/14 Delavan lake, 45 degrees, sunny, light winds out of the west, water temp 59 degrees.  Caught 5 walleyes, 2 smallmouth bass and 3 largemouth bass.  The biggest largemouth was 6 ˝ lbs.  Most of the fish were caught on jigging Rapalas and Storm Lures in 22-24 ft of water.

9/28/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 75 degrees, calm winds, water temp 68 degrees.  Caught 2 smallmouth, 6 largemouth and 1 walleye.  Today the fish were off the weedlines in 14-16 ft of water.  Split shot rigged nightcrawlers and lindy rigged medium suckers caught all the fish.  Most of the fish were caught by 3 flags.

9/27/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 75 degrees, calm winds, water temp 68 degrees.  Caught 3 largemouth bass and 1 northern pike.  The fishing was ultra slow.  The fish were caught on the weedlines.  Split shot rigged nightcrawlers were the bait of choice.

9/26/14  Lake Geneva, sunny, 72 degrees, west winds at 5 mph.  water temp 68 degrees.  Caught 1 smallmouth bass and 20-30 pan fish.  Fished a water depth of 15-22 ft.  Fished all over the lake with very limited success.

9/24/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 75 degrees, light west winds, water temp 72 degrees.  Caught 7 largemouth bass.  The fish were caught on lindy rigged medium suckers or nightcrawlers on a split shot. 

9/22/14 Lake Geneva,  sunny, 60 degrees, west wind at 5 mph.  water temp 66 degrees.  Caught 3 smallmouth bass, the biggest was 20 inches and a bunch of 6-7 inch bluegills.  All the fish were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

9/20/14 Delavan Lake, cloudy, 62 degrees, winds W at 20 mph.  Water temp 67 degrees.  Caught 4 smallmouth bass and 3 largemouth bass and a few bluegills.  Fishing was tough.  All fish were caught on nightcrawlers fished on a split shot rig in 14-15 ft of water.

9/19/14  Delavan Lake, sunny, W winds at 10 mph.  Water temp 68 degrees.  Caught 3 largemouth bass, 1 smallmouth bass and 1 legal walleye.  Fishing continues to be tough this week.  All fish were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers or split shot rigged suckers.

9/18/14 Delavan Lake, cloudy, 65 degrees, NW wind at 10 mph.  Water temp 68 degrees.  Caught  1 wallleye, 8 largemouth and 1 northern pike.  The best depth was 14-15 ft of water.  A couple of the larger largemouth were caught on slip bobbers fished in 6 ft of water near the Village Supper Club or the Yacht Club.  The other game fish were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

9/17/14  Delavan Lake, sunny, 65 degrees, W wind at 10 mph.  Water temp 69 degrees.  Caught 7 largemouth bass.  Most of the fish were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.  The best location  was by the Village Supper Club and by Willow Point.  The best depth was 15-17ft of water.

9/16/14 Delavan Lake, 65 degrees and sunny, winds were calm, water temp 68 degrees.  Caught 8 largemouth bass and 2 northern pike.  All fish were caught on medium suckers fished beneath a Thill big fish float.  We were fishing main lake points in 8 ft of water, 4 ft down.

9/15/14  Delavan Lake, cloudy, 50 degrees, winds calm, water temp 68 degrees.  Caught 3 smallmouth and 5 largemouth bass.  The  best success came on split shot rigged nightcrawlers fished in 14-16 ft of water.

8/27/14  Lake Geneva, 60 degrees, sunny, N winds at 15 mph.  water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 10 largemouth and 2 smallmouth.  All the bass were 16 inches or smaller.  The best bait was lindy rigging nightcrawlers in 21 to 22 ft of water.  The best location was by Fontana Beach.

8/26/14 Delavan Lake, cloudy, 75 degrees, threatening storms, N winds at 15 mph, water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 19 largemouth bass, 1 smallmouth bass and 1 northern pike.  The best presentation was Thill slip bobbers with a medium sucker.  I was fishing water depths 6 ft deep. 

8/25/14 Delavan Lake, cloudy, humid and rainy, 77 degrees, winds E at 10 mph.  Water temp 77 degrees.  Caught 22 largemouth bass, 1 walleye and 2 northern pike.  All the fish were caught in less than 10 ft of water in sandy pockets in the weeds.  The best approach was Thill slip bobbers tipped with a medium sucker.  A few of the bigger bass were also caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

8/24/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, SW winds at 10 mph, 75 degrees and humid, water temp 76.  Caught 3 smallmouth bass and 7 largemouth bass.  The best bait was split shot rigged nightcrawlers in 20-23 ft of water.  The best location was drifting from the Yacht club to the old Military Academy.

8/16/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 70 degrees,  W Wind at 5 mph, water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 20 largemouth bass and 2 legal northerns.  The best bait was medium suckers fished beneath a slip bobber.  Fished about 10-15 spots on the lake and had action on all of them.  Nightcrawlers were not producing today.

8/14/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 74 degrees, E wind at 10 mph, water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 30 largemouth, 1 pike and 2 smallmouth bass.   The fish were mostly caught on medium suckers fished in 6 ft of water.  The Yacht Club and Willow Point produced the most action.

8/13/14  Lake Geneva, sunny, 73 degrees, N wind at 10-15 mph, water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 8 largemouth, 2 smallmouth and 1 pike.  The fish were caught by the old Military Academy and Fontana Beach.

8/12/14 Lake Geneva, 73 degrees, N wind at 10 mph, water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 6 largemouth bass, 1 smallmouth.  The best depth was 20-21 ft of water.  The best approach was split shot rigged nightcrawlers.  The best location was by Gage Marine or Fontana Beach.

8/11/14   Delavan Lake, cloudy, 75 degrees, light winds, water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 15 largemouth bass, 1 smallmouth bass and 20 bluegills.  The fish were in 6-8 ft of water.  The best success was on split shot rigged nightcrawlers and medium suckers.

8/9/14 Lake Geneva,  sunny, 73 degrees, E wind at 12 mph.  Water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 4 smallmouth bass, 3 largemouth bass and many bluegills.  Most of the fish were caught by Elgin Club or by Gage Marine.  The best water depth was 21-22 ft.

8/8/14 Delavan Lake, sunny,  65 degrees, E winds at 10 mph.  Water temp 76 degrees.  Caught  15 largemouth, 2 northern pike, and a lot of bluegills.  The best bait was a split shot rigged nightcrawler in 5-6 ft of water.  Caught some on medium suckers, but the bite wasn’t as good as recent days.

8/7/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 74 degrees, E wind at 5 mph. Water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 14 largemouth bass, 4 of them over 5 lbs, 2 northern pike and many bluegills.  With the cooler than normal water temperature, the fish are in 5-6 ft of water.  The best bait was medium suckers fished under a slip float.

8/5/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 75 degrees, no wind, water temp 76 degrees.   Was on a big bluegill hunt, cleaned about 40.  We did also catch 3 smallmouth and 2 largemouth.  All the fish were caught by Elgin Club in 21 ft of water.

8/4/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 75 degrees, winds SW at 5 mph.  Water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 3 largemouth, 2 smallmouth and about 30 bluegills.  The best depth on the lake remains 22-23 ft of water.  The big bluegills were caught on full nightcrawlers

8/2/14  Delavan Lake, sunny, no wind, 74 degrees, water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 5 northern pike, 5 largemouth and a bunch of bluegills.  The fish were caught on slip bobbers on medium suckers in 6-8 ft of water.  The best location was just west of Willow Point or by the Yacht Club.

7/31/14  Lake Geneva, sunny, 71 degrees, SW wind at 10 mph.  Water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 2 northern pike, 2 largemouth bass and 5 smallmouth bass.  Most of the fish were caught in 20-25 ft of water.  Nightcrawlers or lindy rigged yellow perch caught most of the fish.

7/30/14  Delavan Lake, sunny, 70 degrees, N wind at 5 mph.  Water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 6 largemouth and 2 northern pike.  We were trying for walleye, but the action was very slow.  The largemouth and pike were caught in 8-10 ft of water.  The best bet was slip bobber rigged medium suckers.

7/29/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, NW wind at 10 mph, water temp 75 degrees, air temp 70 degrees.  Caught 35 largemouth bass and 2 northern pike.  The bass were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers or slip bobber rigged medium golden shiners.  The best depth was 6-8 ft of water.  Due to the cold front, the fish are a lot shallower than usual.

7/29/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 80 degrees, winds NW at 10 mph.  Water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 10 smallmouth bass and one 10 lb walleye.  The smallmouth and walleye were caught in 25-28 ft of water.  Most of the fish were caught on a nightcrawler fished on a split shot rig or a lindy rig.  The 10 lb walleye was caught on a small yellow perch fished on a lindy rig.

7/25/14 Lake Geneva, cloudy, 70 degrees, SW winds at 12 mph, water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 3 largemouth bass, the biggest was close to 7 lbs.  and 3 smallmouth bass.  The bite was pretty slow.  The fish we caught were in 25 ft of water.  The best bait was lindy rig nightcrawlers fished on bottom with a 24 inch leader.

7/24/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 65 degrees, E winds at 5 mph, water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 13 smallmouth and 8 largemouth bass.  The fish were in 22-25 ft of water.  The best location was in Fontana or in Williams Bay.

7/21/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 65 degrees, winds light out of the west, water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 9 largemouth bass, 3 smallmouth and 5 bluegills.  The fish were located on the outside weedline.  We caught the fish on nightcrawlers fished on a split shot rig.  The smallmouth bass were caught on Thill big fish slip bobbers with medium suckers.  The best depth was about 8-10 ft of water

7/20/14  Delavan Lake, sunny, 76 degrees, SW winds at 5 mph, water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 13 largemouth bass; 5 were over 18 inches, and 1 northern pike.  Most of the fish were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers in 5-6 ft of water.  We did catch 3 or 4 bass and the northern on Thill slip bobber fished with a medium sucker.

7/19/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 75 degrees, wind SW at 5 mph, water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 1 smallmouth, 1 largemouth and a whole bunch of bluegills and rock bass.  Fished in Fontana, Gage Marine and in the Williams Bay weed flat.  I had several other fish on lindy rigged suckers, but didn’t land any of them.

7/18/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 70 degrees, winds light out of the SW, water temp 74 degrees.  Fishing was very slow.  It was a northern pike trip, we didn’t boat a northern but we did catch 6 largemouth on nightcrawlers and slip bobber rigged suckers.  The best depth was 13 ft of water.

7/17/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 77 degrees, winds SW at 5 mp water temp 74 degrees.  Caught 5 smallmouth and 5 largemouth bass.  Fished Fontana Beach, Gage Marine and the former Military Academy.  The best approach was split shot rigged nightcrawlers in 21-25 ft of water.

7/15/14   Lake Geneva, sunny, 65 degrees, winds light out of the SW, water temp 73 degrees.  Caught 17 smallmouth bass and 1 largemouth.  Fished 21-22 ft of water.  Fished in Fontana and by Gage Marine.  The fish were caught on lindy rigged nightcrawlers.

7/13/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 70 degrees, water temp 76 degrees, W wind at 15 mph.  Caught 30 bluegills.  Went for panfish only.  They were in 12-15 ft of water.  A small split shot with a single hook produced most of the action.  Most of the fish were caught by 3 flags.

7/12/14 Lake Geneva, rainy, W wind at 15 mph.  70 degrees, water temp 74 degrees.  Caught 7 smallmouth and 2 largemouth.  The best approach was a split shot rigged nightcrawler about 1 ft off bottom.

7/11/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 70 degrees, water temp 74 degrees, SW winds at 10 mph.  Caught 15 smallmouth and 1 largemouth.  The best depth was 22 ft of water.  Look for the fish by Fontana beach or by Abbey Springs.

7/10/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 72 degrees, water temp 76 degrees, no wind.  Caught 2 northern pike and 6 largemouth bass.  The pike were caught on a lindy rigged medium sucker in 20 ft of water.  The bass were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers. 

7/8/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 65 degrees, water temp 75 degrees, W winds at 15 mph.  Caught 6 largemouth and 4 smallmouth.  The best depth was 12-15 ft of water.  All the fish were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

7/7/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 75 degrees, water temp 74 degrees, NW winds at 10 mph.  Caught 13 largemouth bass in the 12-15 ft depth range.  Split shot rigged nightcrawlers worked the best.  The best location was by the Village Supper Club or the Yacht Club.

7/5/14 Delavan lake, cloudy, 72 degrees, water temp 74, winds SW at 15 mph.  Caught 2 northern pike, 2 smallmouth and 14 largemouth bass.  The fish were on the deep weedline in 15-20 ft of water.  The best location was by the Yacht Club, Willow Point and Browns Channel.  The two pike were caught on lindy rigged suckers in 24 ft of water by the gray condos.

7/3/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 77 degrees, N wind at 15 mph.  Water temp 74 degrees.  Caught 3 northern pike, one smallmouth and 2 largemouth bass.  Caught most of the fish in 15-20 ft of water.  The pike and smallmouth came on medium suckers in 20 ft of water.  We fished the north shore from west of Willow Point through Assembly Park.

7/2/14 Lake Geneva, 63 degrees, cloudy and rainy, W winds at 15-20 mph.  Water temp 72 degrees.  Caught 5 smallmouth and 5 largemouth.  Best location was by Belvidere Park or by Fontana Beach.  We caught most of our fish on split shot rigged nightcrawlers in 12 ft of water.

7/1/14 Delavan Lake, 75 degrees, sunny, SW winds at 20 mph.  Water temp 74 degrees.  Caught 1 northern, 5 largemouth and 3 smallmouth.  The pike and about ˝ of the bass were caught on medium suckers fished beneath a Thill big fish bobber.  The remainder of the bass were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers in 12-15 ft of water.

6/30/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 73 degrees, SW winds at 5 mph, water temp 74 degrees.  Caught 4 largemouth, 2 smallmouth and a bunch of bluegills.  The fish were caught on a split shot rigged nightcrawler.  Best depth was 12-15 ft of water.

6/28/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 80 degrees, winds SW at 15 mph.  Water temp 72 degrees.  Caught 10 largemouth, 3 smallmouth and 3 northern pike.  The largest pike was 31 inches and the largest largemouth was 6 lbs and the largest smallmouth was 5 lbs.  The best presentation was medium suckers either fished on a lindy rig or a Thill big fish slip bobber.

6/26/14 Lake Geneva, foggy and cloudy, 70 degrees, E wind at 5 mph.  Water temp 72 degrees.  Caught 10 largemouth and 2 smallmouth.  One of the largemouth was over 6 lbs and one of the smallies was over 5 lbs.  The top water bite has slowed, all fish were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers

6/25/14 Lake Geneva, foggy, cloudy, 70 degrees, winds E at 5 mph.  Water temp 73 degrees.  Caught 4 largemouth and 1 smallmouth.  The largemouth are in post spawn and a little tougher to catch.  All of our fish were caught in 10-12 ft of water on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.  The best location was by Linn Pier and in Williams Bay.

6/24/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 75 degrees, light winds SW at 5 mph.  Water temp 72 degrees.  Caught 6 largemouth, 1 smallmouth, rock bass and bluegills.  The best depth was 10-12 ft of water.  The best locations were pier 666 and the Elgin Club.

6/23/14 Lake Geneva, Sunny, 75 degrees, light east winds, water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 2 largemouth bass.  The fishing was slow, we fished all over with limited success.  The fish we did catch were small.  We did catch 30-40 rock bass.  Most fish were caught in 12 ft of water.

6/22/14 Lake Geneva, very foggy, 65 degrees, water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 8 largemouth bass in Williams Bay on a split shot rigged nightcrawler.  One fish did come off of a top water lure.  The best depth was 10-12 ft.  the fishing was slower than the day before but the conditions appeared to be identical.  We did try main lake drop offs with limited success.

6/21/14 P.M. Delavan Lake, sunny and rainy.  Air temp 75 degrees.  Water temp 74 degrees.  Caught 4 northerns and 4 largemouth bass.  This was a northern pike trip.  We were dragging lindy rigs in 15-20 ft of water.  Our largest fish was 31 inches.  The fish that we were marking deep were hitting but they were few and far between.  A lot of the fish have not yet moved to the deep weed edge.  The best location was west of the Yacht Club.

6/21/14 A.M.  Lake Geneva, foggy and misty, air temp 60 degrees, SW winds at 5 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 21 largemouth bass.  The fish were caught in 10-12 ft of water on split shot rigged nightcrawler.  We also caught several fish on chrome/blue chug bugs. 

6/18/14 Lake Geneva, rainy with storms, 68 degrees, water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 6 largemouth bass.  The fish were caught on chrome/blue chug bugs or split shot rigged nightcrawlers.  The best depth was 10-12 ft of water.

6/16/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, SW winds at 5 mph, air temp 75 degrees, water temp 68 degrees.  Caught 12 largemouth bass.  All fish were caught on a deep weedline on the main lake points in 2-15 ft of water.

6/14/14 Lake Geneva, sunny and 70 degrees, winds SW at 5 mph.  Water temp 68 degrees.  Caught 8 largemouth and a bunch of rock bass and a few bluegills.  The best location was by Colemans Point and by Linn Pier.  Worked a depth of 8-12 ft. and used split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

6/13/14 Delavan Lake P.M., sunny, 75 degrees, winds SW at 15 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 4 walleyes, 6 largemouth and 15 keeper panfish.  Fishing was good off the weedline in 10-15 ft of water. 

6/13/14 Delavan Lake A.M., sunny and 70 degrees, Winds NW at 15-20 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 14 largemouth and a bunch of panfish.  The fish were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

6/12/14 Lake Geneva, foggy then sunny, 75 degrees, S wind at 10 mph.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 5 largemouth, 1 smallmouth and 15 bluegills.  The best location was by Colemans Point in 7-8 ft of water.  Caught all of the fish on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

6/8/14 Lake Geneva, cloudy, 65 degrees, NE wind at 10-15 mph, water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 5 smallmouth bass and 3 largemouth bass.  All the bass were legal.  Fished by Elgin Club and by Colemans Point.  The best depth was 9-10 ft of water.

6/7/14  Lake Geneva, sunny, very light east wind, 75 degrees, water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 5 largemouth and 7 smallmouth.  The best depth was 9-12 ft of water.  Fished all over the lake.  The best approach was split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

6/6/14 A.M.  Lake Geneva, sunny 69 degrees, winds SW at 5 mph.  water temp 69 degrees.  Caught 7 smallmouth and 2 largemouth.  The best location was by Belvidere Park.  The best approach was split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

6/6/14 P.M.  Lake Geneva,  sunny, 80 degrees, SW at 10 mph, water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 8 smallmouth bass and 4 largemouth.  The biggest smallmouth was 19 inches, the biggest largemouth was 20 inches.  The best approach was split shot rigged nightcrawlers, Senkos or white hair jigs.

6/5/14 Lake Geneva, sunny 75 degrees, light east wind, water temp 68 degrees.  Caught 6 largemouth bass, 4 smallmouth bass and a bunch of rock bass and bluegills.  The fish were in 8-12 ft of water.  The best approach was split shot rigged nightcrawlers of pink 1/8 oz hair jigs with a white body.

6/3/14 P.M.  Delavan Lake, sunny,  65 degrees,  NW wind at 5 mph.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 4 walleyes, 5 largemouth, 3 smallmouth and 15 bluegills.  The largemouth were caught in 3-4 ft of water on Texas rigged Senkos near Lake Lawn Golf Course.  The walleyes and smallies were caught off of main lake points in 12-15 ft of water on a split shot rigged nightcrawler.

6/3/14 A.M.  Lake Geneva,  sunny, 79 degrees, NW wind at 15 mph.  Water temp 63 degrees.  Caught 3 largemouth, 2 smallmouth and a bunch of rockbass, sunfish and bluegills.  The best approach was split shot rigged nightcrawlers.  The best location was by Belvidere Park.

6/2/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, SW winds at 20-25 mph.  75 degrees, water tem 63 degrees.  Caught 2 smallmouth and 2 largemouth and many rock bass.  The fish were caught on white hair jigs and split shot rigged nightcrawlers. 

5/31/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 80 degrees, winds SW at 5-10 mph.  Water temp 72 degrees.  Fished the entire day on Delavan with multiple guide parties.  The morning trip was bluegill fishing.  We caught 50-60 fish in about 1 ˝ hours.  The afternoon trip, we caught 2 walleyes, 2 northerns, 4 largemouth and 3 smallmouth and a bunch of bluegills.  The bluegills are in 5 ft of water.  The best approach is a bobber and leaf worms.  The afternoon trip saw all fish caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.  We fished the main lake points.

5/26/14 Lake Geneva, sunny turning to cloudy then to rain.  80 degrees, SW winds at 10 mph, water temp 62 degrees.  Caught 5 largemouth and a bunch of rock bass.  The trip was short due to heavy rains at the end.  All the largemouth bass were caught in Trinkes Bay.  The rock bass were caught by Belvidere Park.  The best depth was 10 ft of water.

5/25/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 70 degrees, light winds, water temp 60 degrees.  Caught one 8 lb lake trout.  Took my son and friends out for a day of fun fishing.  We caught one lake trout on a green evil eye.  It was caught in 114 ft of water, 108 ft down.  Had several other hits, but couldn’t get them in the boat.

5/24/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, 65 degrees, light winds out of the west.  Water temp 60 degrees.  Caught 25 largemouth bass, 1 smallmouth and a bunch of rock bass and bluegills.  The largemouth bass were caught in Abbey Harbor and the rock bass and smallmouth were caught in the main lake by Belvidere Park  The best bait was a split shot rigged nightcrawler.  The best depth in the main lake was 12 ft of water.

5/23/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 70 degrees, SE wind at 5 mph.  Water temp 61 degrees.  Caught and kept 22 bluegills, caught and released 2 largemouth and 4 northern pike.  Pan fish were all caught in Lake Lawn marina and the pike were caught in Viewcrest on medium suckers fished underneath a slip bobber.  The panfish were caught on leaf worms in about 1 ft of water.  With the rising water temperature, the fish are preparing to spawn.

5/22/14 Lake Geneva, sunny, light west wind, 65 degrees, water temp 57 degrees.  Caught 1 largemouth, 13 smallmouth – the largest at 5 lbs, and 1 16” crappie.  All the fish were caught on a 1/16 oz white hair jig with a pink head.  Fished most of the west end of the lake.  The best depth was in 12-13 ft of water.

5/20/14 Delavan Lake, sunny, 65 degrees, W wind at 10 mph.  Water temp 59 degrees.  Caught 12 Northern Pike and 1 smallmouth.  The best bite was in 7 ft of water using medium suckers fished beneath a slip bobber. 

5/19/14  Delavan Lake, cloudy, 55 degrees, W wind at 20 mph.  Water temp 56 degrees.  Caught 1 largemouth at 4 lbs and 13 northern pike.  The bite was slow due to the lake fly hatch.  The fish were caught in 7 ft of water, about 3 ft down in Viewcrest bay.  We used medium suckers fished beneath a Thill slip bobber.

5/8/14 Delavan Lake, Sunny, 65 degrees, North wind at 15 mph, water temp 52 degrees.  Caught 10 LM Bass, 1 Northern, few panfish.  This was a panfish trip with very limited success.  The Largemouth bass were on fire on Rattle Traps and All Terrain Stiks in green pumpkin.  Best depth 3-4 feet of water by Lake Lawn.  Best panfish were found in the Lake Lawn Harbor.  To caught pike you needed to find the weeds in 10 feet of water.

5/7/14 Lake Koshkonong, partly sunny,60 degrees, SE Winds at 15 mph, water temp 53 degrees.  Trolled for walleyes for three hours without success.  Worked the whole lake in 3-6 feet of water.  Shad Raps and Arkie Crappie crankbaits.

5/3/14 Whitewater Lake, partly sunny, 63 degrees, winds NW at 20 mph. Water temp 50 degrees. Tried for Walleyes and ended up catching 2 along with 4 largemouth bass. We trolled crankbaits along the shoreline in 6-8 feet of water. The best colored crankbait was perch colored, I used the Arkie crappie crankbait. It was a bit slow and the wind played a factor with the presentation. Best trolling speed was 2 mph.

4-26-2014 Lauderdale Lake, Sunny, NW Wind 10 mph, 55 degrees, Water Temp 55 degrees.  Fished by the Laudedale Landing in 3 foot of water caught 50- 60 bluegills keep about 20.  Bobbers and red worms produced most of the fish.  Some crappies were around but would not bite.  Orange ice jig was the best bait.

4-25-2014 Delavan Lake, Cloudy, SE Wind 15, 65 degrees, Water Temp. 49 degrees.  Fished by the outlet dam in 2 feet of wtare caught some bluegills on waxworms and red worms.  Ice Jig and a bobber.

4-19-14 Delavan Lake, Sunny, SE Wind 15, 60 degrees, Water temp 43-48 degrees.  Fished in 4 foot or less all day from Lake Lawn to Highlands Channel.  The only spot I caught fish was in the Highlands channel.  Caught a hundred bluegills and only could keep a few fish.  Used a bobber with a small ice jig.  The best bait was a leaf worm or small red worm.  There were no green weed anywhere.  The outlet dam was dead. 

4-18-14 Delavan Lake, Sunny, SE Wind 15, 60 degrees, Water Temp 46 degrees.  Fished in Viewcrest channel for crappies.  There were a lot around most were small.  Best bait was a silver plastic on a pink jig head.  It seems that the sunnier it is out the better the bite.
