10/24/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny, 55 degrees. Winds W at 5 mph.  Water temp 56 degrees. Caught 1 smallmouth - 18 inches, 1 largemouth, 20-30 perch.  The bass were caught on night crawlers fished on a split shot rig.  The perch were caught on small fat head minnows.  It was really slow. 

10/17/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 35 degrees, winds W at 15 mph.  Water temp 58 degrees.  Caught 12 smallmouth - 3 legal, 4 largemouth - 2 legal, 1 northern and 1 walleye.  The fish were caught on a split shot rigged fat head minnow in 18 ft of water.  The northern and a couple large mouth were caught on medium suckers fished on a lindy rig.

10/15/2004 Delavan Lake, cloudy, rainy, 40 degrees, wind N at 15 mph.  Water temp 62 degrees.  Caught 2 northerns - 34 and 36 inches, 4 smallmouth - 2 legal, 4 largemouth - 2 legal and 1 walleye.  Most of the fish were caught on medium suckers on a lindy rig in 20 ft of water.  Best locations:  Village Supper club and Willow Point.

10/10/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny, winds W at 10 mph.  Water temp 64 degrees.  Caught 3 northerns, 4 smallmouth, 2 largemouth and a bunch of pan fish.  Northerns were caught in 20-22 ft of water on medium suckers.  Smallmouth were caught on nightcrawlers in 21 ft of water on a heavy split shot rig.

10/9/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 55 degrees, water temp 64 degrees.  Caught 2 walleyes, 4 largemouth.  Caught the fish on medium suckers on lindy rigs in 18-19 ft of water.  

10/3/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 40 degrees. Winds W at 15 mph.  Water temp 65 degrees.  Caught 2 walleyes - 1 legal and 3 largemouth -2 legal.  The fish were caught on deep diving crank baits.  The best color was fire tiger.  The best depth was 15 ft.  Fished for about 4 hours at first light.

10/2/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny, 45 degrees. Winds NW at 15 mph. Water temp 64 degrees.  Caught 3 northerns, 2 smallmouth and 25 nice perch.  Perch were caught in 6-8 ft of water by Knollwood on small leeches and nightcrawlers.  Smallies were caught on chubs in 24 ft of water, near the Military Academy.

9/25/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 72 degrees. Calm winds.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 3 smallmouth - 1 legal, 2 walleyes, 8 largemouth bass.  The smallmouth bass were caught on suckers.  The walleyes and largemouth bass came off of nightcrawlers.  The fish were positioned on the weed line in 12-14 ft.

9/24/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny, 65 degrees.  Winds NW at 10 mph. Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 3 largemouth bass, 9 smallmouth - 7 legal.  The smallies came off of nightcrawlers fished on a lindy rig in 18-19 ft of water off the weed line.  The best location was by Linn Pier and Coleman's Point. 

9/22/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 85 degrees, winds SW at 5-10mph.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 3 northerns, 6 largemouth and 2 walleyes.  Northerns were caught lindy rigging suckers in 15 ft of water.  The bass were coming off the weed line in 12-15 ft of water.  The walleye were caught in 20 ft of water off the weed edge.

9/19/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny, 75 degrees, winds S at 12 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees. Caught 15 smallmouth - 12 legal, bunch of bluegills, rock bass and perch.  The smallmouth bass were caught by the Military Academy in 17-18 ft of water.  That was the only spot that had any game fish.

9/18/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny, 75 degrees.  Winds W at 12 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees. Caught 1 largemouth - 3 1/2 lbs., rock bass, bluegills and perch.  Fished several spots, fishing was very tough.  Worked 11-14 ft of water.

9/17/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 75 degrees. Winds SW at 15 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees. Caught 2 northerns, 1 smallmouth bass and a bunch of bluegills.  Fishing was slow.  The northerns were caught on medium suckers in 16 ft of water. The bluegills were caught in 15-18 ft of water on nightcrawler pieces.

9/13/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 80 degrees.  Winds SW at 14 mph.  Water temp 72.  Caught 4 northerns - 2 legal, 2 walleyes and 12 largemouth bass-5 legal.  The pike were caught on lindy rigged suckers in 20 ft of water.  Largemouth bass were caught on the weedline in 13-14 ft of water on a split shot rig.

9/12/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 75 degrees.  Winds SW at 10 mph.  Water temp 72.  Caught 3 walleyes, 4 largemouth and a bunch of bluegills.  Most of the fish were caught on lindy rigged nightcrawlers in 18-20 ft of water.

9/11/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 75 degrees, winds were calm.  Water temp was 71.  Caught 2 northerns - 1 legal, 6 walleyes, 2 largemouth - 1 legal and 1 legal smallmouth.  Most of the fish were caught on suckers fished on lindy rigs.  The best depth was between 20-25 of water.  Most of the fish were caught by Browns Channel.

9/10/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 70 degrees.  Winds SW at 10 mph.  Water temp 70.  Caught 2 northerns, both legal.  3 walleyes and 2 largemouth bass.  The northerns bit on medium suckers in 15-18 ft. of water.  The walleyes and bass were caught on nightcrawlers on a lindy rig with a chartreuse hook.

8/28/2004 Lake Geneva, cloudy, rainy, 60 degrees.  Winds NE at 10 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 1 largemouth bass, many rock bass, bluegills and perch.  Cold front has really shut down the lake.  Fishing is slow.

8/23/2004 Delavan Lake, partly cloudy, 65 degrees.  Winds SE at 10 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 1 northern-32 inches, 1 walleye and 1 largemouth bass.  Lots of bluegills.  Fishing was very slow, the fish we did catch were in 22-23 ft. of water.  The pike was caught on a sucker.  The bass and walleye were caught on nightcrawlers.

8/22/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 65 degrees SW winds at 15 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 10 walleyes, 3 largemouth - 1 legal and 1 legal smallmouth.  Fish were caught on nightcrawlers in 23 ft of water.  Most of the fish were caught by Browns Channel.

8/21/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny, 71 degrees, water temp 71.  Winds were calm.  Caught 6 largemouth bass and loads of pan fish.  Fished by Abbey Springs, the Military Academy and Colemans Point.  The fish were caught in 12-14 ft. of water.

8/19/2004 Delavan Lake, partly cloudy, 65 degrees, winds SW at 5 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 3 walleyes - 1 legal, 5 largemouth bass - 2 legal, and 1 legal smallmouth.  All the fish were caught on nightcrawlers fished in 20-22 ft of water.  The fish were outside the weed line. 

8/15/2004 Delavan Lake, partly cloudy, 72 degrees, west winds at 5 mph.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 1 walleye, 4 smallmouth (2 legal), 6 largemouth (3 legal - 18, 19 and 21 inches)  Great Day.  Caught all fish in 16-21 ft of water on lindy rigged night crawlers.

8/14/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny 70 degrees, calm winds, water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 2 largemouths (1 legal) and many panfish.  Fished all over the lake in 12-16 ft of water.  It was really slow for bass.  Fished Knollwood, Cisco beach and Abbey Springs.  The best depth was 13 ft of water.

8/13/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny 70 degrees, calm winds, water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 2 largemouth (1 legal) and 40-50 pan fish.  Fishing was slow.  Fished Abbey Springs, Coleman's Point, Linn Pier and Knollwood.  Best weather of the week.  Fished 14-16 ft of water.  All fish were caught on split shot rigged night crawlers.

8/11/2004 Lake Geneva, partly cloudy, 64 degrees. west wind at 10 mph.  Caught 3 largemouth (2 legal) and many pan fish.  Fished by Abbey Springs and Coleman's Point.  Fished in 13-18 ft of water.  All the fish were caught on split shot rigged night crawlers.

8/10/2004 Lake Geneva, partly cloudy, 64 degrees. 15 mph winds.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 3 smallmouth (1 legal), 8 largemouth (1 legal), and many pan fish.  Fish were caught in 12-16 ft of water near Abbey Springs.

8/9/2004 Lake Geneva, cloudy, 65 degrees.  west winds at 15 mph.  Water temp 72 degrees.  Caught 5 smallmouth (3 legal), 7 largemouth (2 legal).  Fished 12-16 ft of water near Abbey Springs.  all fish were caught on  split shot rigged night crawlers.

8/8/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny 65 degrees, winds SW at 10 mph.  Water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 4 walleyes, 6 largemouth and 1 smallmouth and several bluegills.  The fish were caught on lindy rigged nightcrawlers.  We were working depths between 18 and 26 ft. of water.  The best location was by Willow Point.

8/7/2004 Lake Michigan - port of Kenosha.  Cloudy, 65 degrees, water temp 66.  Caught 4 chinooks, 70 ft down in 110 ft of water.  Best presentation was dodger and flies.

8/6/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, winds calm.  Water temp 74 degrees.  Kept 40 bluegills, caught 2 largemouth, both legal and 2 smallmouth.  Fished bluegills on slip bobbers and straight lining beneath the boat while anchored.  The best location was by the gray condos and on the west end of the lake.  Fished 18-22 ft of water.

8/3/2004 Delavan Lake, morning, sunny 60 degrees. No wind.  Caught 4 largemouth, 3 walleyes-1 legal, 1 northern and 2 smallmouth bass.  Fish were caught on nightcrawlers and deep diving crank baits on the weed line.  Best location was by Browns Channel and by the Yacht Club.

8/2/2004 Lake Geneva, evening, sunny 75 degrees.  Winds SW at 5 mph.  Caught 4 large mouth, rock bass, bluegills and perch.  Fished by Abbey Springs in 13-14 ft. of water.  Caught 1 northern in Williams Bay on a sucker.

8/1/2004 Lake Geneva, sunny 80 degrees, SW winds at 15 mph.  Water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 8 largemouth- 1 legal, caught 3 northerns and lots of pan fish.  The bass were caught in 13 ft of water by Abbey Springs.  The pike were caught on lindy rigged suckers in Fontana

7/31/2004 Lake Geneva, cloudy, winds SW at 10 mph.  Water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 5 largemouth bass, 2 northerns, and lots of rock bass and bluegills.  The bass and pan fish were caught in 12-15 ft of water at Colemans Point and by Knollwood.  The northerns were caught lindy rigging suckers in 35 ft of water in the narrows.

7/28/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny 75 degrees, water temp 75 degrees, winds SW at 10 mph.  Caught 6 largemouth - 2 legal, 5 walleyes - no legals and a bunch of bluegills.  Fished for pike the first hour but without success.  Caught the walleyes and bass lindy rigging nightcrawlers in 16-18 ft of water.  The best location was by American Marine and by the Oriental boat house.

7/25/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny 55 degrees going up to 70 degrees.  The winds were north at 5 mph.  Caught 2 northerns, 3 walleyes, 5 largemouth bass - 1 legal, and a bunch of bluegills.  The bass and walleyes were caught on nightcrawlers fished on a lindy rig in 18-20 ft of water.  The northerns were caught on suckers.

7/24/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny 55 degrees going up to 70 degrees.  Water temp 76 degrees.  Caught 4 northerns, 5 largemouth - 2 legal and 4 walleyes.  Most of the action came on medium suckers fished on a lindy rig.  The fish were off the weed line in 19-20 ft of water.

7/22/2004 Delavan Lake, 85 degrees dropping to 65 degrees as cold front came through.  Partly cloudy.  Water temp 81 degrees.  Caught 6 northerns, 2 bass, 3 walleyes.  The northerns were caught on suckers, the bass were caught on nightcrawlers on a lindy rig.  The best bet for all the fish was 16-18 ft. of water.

7/21/2004 Lake Geneva, 90 degrees, sunny, high humidity. Winds SW at 10 mph.  Water temp 80 degrees.  Caught 8 largemouth - 2 legal, 8 northerns, no legals.  Northerns were in 35 ft of water.  Caught the fish on Williams Bay on suckers on a lindy rig.  The bass were caught at Trinkes in 14 ft of water on nightcrawlers fished on a split shot rig.

7/18/2004 Delavan Lake, sunny, 73 degrees, winds calm, water temp 75 degrees.  Caught 6 walleyes, 2 legal, 8 largemouth bass, 5 legal, 3 northerns, 2 legal.  Had a great day on the water with multiple species of fish.  All the walleyes and bass were caught on lindy rigs fished with nightcrawlers.  The northerns hit on suckers also fished on lindy rigs.  The best spot was by Del Mar subdivision and by the Yacht Club.  I was working water from 16-20 ft.

7/17/2004 Lake Geneva, cloudy, 70 degrees, winds NE at 13 mph.  Water temp 73 degrees.  Caught 7 largemouth - 1 legal, and 2 smallmouth - 1 legal.  Caught a 14 inch perch and a bunch of rock bass and bluegills.  The fish were caught on nightcrawlers fished on a split shot rig.  Fished near Abbey Springs and Colemans Point in 10-16 ft of water.

7/14/2004 Lake Geneva, partly cloudy, winds NE at 10 mph. 75 degrees, water temp 74.  Caught 3 smallmouth - 2 legal, 6 largemouth - 2 legal, and a bunch of rock bass and bluegills.  Fished Geneva Bay and Bigfoot Beach.  Drifted nightcrawlers on a split shot rig in 12-14 ft. of water.

7/10/2004 Delavan Lake, partly cloudy, 75 degrees, winds calm to 5 mph from the east.  Caught 10 walleyes (4 legals) 4 largemouth (3 legals) 1 smallmouth (20 inches).  All fish were caught on nightcrawlers on lindy rigs.  The best depth was in 16-20 ft of water.  Fished by Del Mar and Willow Point.

7/6/2004 Delavan Lake, cloudy, 65 degrees.  SW wind at 15 mph.  Water temp 74.  Caught 1 smallmouth, 6 walleye (2 legal), 3 northerns.  Fishing was slow, wind made fishing very hard.  There was only one spot to fish, by Assembly Park.  Best depth was 16-18 ft of water.  All fish were caught on crankbaits.

7/5/2004 Delavan Lake, partly cloudy, 74 degrees. Winds out of the East at 10 mph.  Water temp 74 degrees.  Caught 10 walleyes, 1 legal, 8 northerns, 2 legal. The fish were caught on leeches on the weed line in 17-19 ft. of water.  The best location was by Browns Channel and by the Island on the west end of the lake.

7/3/2004 Delavan Lake, partly cloudy, 65 degrees. Winds out of the East at 5 mph, water temp 74 degrees.  Caught 10 walleyes, 3 northerns, 1 legal, 1 largemouth bass, 19 inches.  The fish were caught on crank baits on the 17-19 ft weed line.  The best spot was near the Yacht Club.

6/28/2004 Lake Geneva, PM, partly cloudy, 75 degrees,  Winds NE at 5-10 mph.  Water temp 73 degrees.  Caught 8 largemouth, 4 legal, 3 smallmouth, all legal.  The fish were caught on nightcrawlers on a split shot rig.  The best depth was 13-16 ft. of water.  Fished by Knollwood, Trinkes and Driehaus Estate.

6/28/2004 Delavan Lake, AM, partly cloudy, 65 degrees.  Winds SW at 5mph.  Water temp 72 degrees.  Caught 12 walleyes, 3 legal, 2 northerns and a few bluegills and crappies.  The walleyes were caught lindy rigging night crawlers in 17-19 ft of water.  Best locations were the Oriental boathouse, the Yacht club and Browns Channel.

6/25/2004 Lake Geneva, partly sunny, 65 degrees. SW winds at 15 mph.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 15 largemouth, 4 smallmouth and lots of bluegills and rock bass.  Worked Trinkes and Colemans Point.  The best depth was 10-13 ft. of water.  All the fish were caught on split shot rigged nightcrawlers.

6/24/2004 Lake Geneva, partly cloudy, 65 degrees.  SW wind at 12 mph.  Water temp 69 degrees.  Caught 12 largemouth bass (8 legals), 5 smallmouth bass, bunches of bluegills and rock bass.  all the fish were caught on nightcrawlers fished on split-shot rigs.  The best depth was in 11-13 ft of water.  The only spot fished was Colemans Point.

6/23/2004 Delavan Lake, partly cloudy, 60 degrees, S wind at 10 mph.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Fished one hour - caught 1 walleye (20") 1 northern.  Fish were caught on crank baits, black and chrome Wally divers.  The best depth was 15 ft.  Fished near Assembly Park.

6/21/2004 Delavan Lake - PM - rain, 64 degrees, winds SW at 5 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 10 walleyes (1 - 20"), 1 northern, 3 smallmouth, 3 largemouth and a bunch of crappies and bluegills.  Most of the walleyes were caught on lindy rigged suckers or leeches.  The best depth was in 18-20 ft.  The best location was by Del Mar and by Browns Channel.

6/21/2004 Delavan Lake - AM - a lot of rain, 63 degrees, SW winds at 5 mph.  Water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 3 largemouth, 6 walleyes, 2 smallmouth (no legals)  Fished leeches, nightcrawlers, and suckers.  Worked a depth of 16-25 ft.  Most of the fish were coughing up minnows.  Fatheads would have worked very well.  Most of the fish were caught by Del Mar Beach and American Marine.

6/20/04 Delavan Lake - sunny, winds SW at 10 mph.  Water temp 73 degrees.  Caught 15 walleyes, 2 that were 20 inches, 1 largemouth bass, 5 smallmouth bass and a couple of bluegills.  The fish were in 15-25 ft. of water.  All the fish were caught on nightcrawlers fished on a lindy rig.  All fish were caught by Browns Channel.

6/19/04 Lake Geneva - sunny, air temp 65 degrees.  Winds NE at 12 mph.  Caught 6 largemouth and many bluegills and rock bass.  Fished in 8-10 ft. of water the best spot was by Elgin Club.  All the fish were caught on nightcrawlers fished on a split shot rig.

6/17/04 Lake Geneva - fished the evening - sunny, calm water temp 71 degrees.  Caught 7 largemouth, 4 smallmouth - 8 bass were legal.  The fish were caught in 12 ft of water on nightcrawlers fished on a split shot rig.  The best spot was by Elgin Club or by Knollwood. 

6/13/04 Lake Geneva - cloudy- turning sunny, 75 degrees, SW winds at 15 mph.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 4 smallmouth, 10 largemouth and a bunc of rock bass and bluegills.  Fish were caught in 10-11 ft. of water.  Drifted nightcrawlers.  Best location was by the Yacht Club.

6/12/04 Delavan Lake - cloudy 65 degrees, light winds out of the SW.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 5 walleyes, 3 smallmouth, 4 largemouth and 60-70 bluegills and perch.  All the fish were caught in 15-20 ft of water on leaf worms fished with a slip bobber or a night crawler fished on a slip bobber.  Fished by Willow Point.

6/9/04 Delavan Lake - sunny, 80 degrees, winds SW at 14 mph.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 6 large mouth, 2 smallmouth, 12 crappies and some bluegills.  The fish were caught in 12-15 ft. of water. Night crawlers fished on a split shot rig were the best bait.

6/6/04 Lake Geneva - sunny, 75 degrees, partly cloudy.  Winds SW at 5-10 mph.  Water temp 64 degrees.  Caught 6 smallmouth, 4 legal - 3 largemouth - 2 legal, 50-60 Rock bass.  The best bait was a night crawler fished on a split shot rig.  Fished by Cisco Beach and Elgin Club. The water depth was 10-12 ft.

6/5/04 Delavan Lake - sunny 70 degrees, no wind.  Water temp 64 degrees.  Caught 1 walleye, 1 smallmouth.  The fish were caught by Browns Channel on Crank Baits in 15 ft. of water.

6/4/04 Delavan Lake - sunny with light winds out of the west.  Water temp 64 degrees.  Caught 3 walleyes, 1 smallmouth bass.  The walleyes were caught on medium diving crank baits in 16 ft. of water. The best color was a fire tiger Wally diver.  All the fish were caught by the Yacht Club.

5/31/04 Delavan Lake - thunderstorms with sun & rain, winds SW at 15 mph.  Water temp 63 degrees.  Caught 2 walleyes, 40 bluegills - kept 20.  The walleyes were in 20 ft of water caught on a jig and leech.  The bluegills were 4-6 ft. of water caught on helgrammites.  

5/30/04 Lake Geneva - cloudy with rain, SE wind at 10-15 mph.  Water temp 60 degrees.  Caught 5 largemouth, 1 legal - 3 1/2 pounds, 2 smallmouth, 1 legal, 5-6 crappies and some rock bass and bluegills.  The crappies were caught fishing plastics in 12-14 ft. of water.  The best location was by Maytag Point.  The small and largemouth bass were caught in Geneva Bay in 5-6 ft. of water.  Nightcrawlers fished on a split shot rig was the best approach.

5/29/04 Delavan Lake - cloudy, light rain, 55 degrees, winds SE at 10 mph.  Water temp 65 degrees.  Caught 1 walleye on a crank bait, 1 smallmouth  and 20-30 crappies.  The walleye was caught in 14 ft. of water on the weed line.  The smallmouth and crappies were taken on small plastic twister tails.  The best color was purple.  They were on the break line in 12 ft. of water.

5/27/04 Lake Geneva - partly cloudy, 65 degrees, winds SW at 10 mph.  Water temp 62 degrees.  Caught 3 smallmouth, 3 largemouth and several crappies and rock bass.  The crappies were caught on small hair jigs, white and pink were best colors in 12-14 ft. of water.  The bass were caught in 5-6 ft. of water.  The fish were caught on a night crawler fished on a split shot rig.  The best location was on Geneva Bay.

5/22/04 Lake Geneva - 65 degrees, partly cloudy, winds SW at 10 mph.  Water temp 65 degrees.  Caught 3 smallmouth and 8 largemouth.  5 were legal.  Fished nightcrawlers in Geneva Bay in 6-7 ft of water.

5/18/04 Delavan Lake - 60 degrees, cloudy and rainy.  Winds S at 10 mph.  Water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 8 walleyes, 1 legal.  Fish were caught on leeches fished in 12-15 ft. of water near the Yacht Club.

5/16/04 Lake Como - sunny, air temp 60 degrees.  Calm winds, water temp 70 degrees.  Caught 10 largemouth (5 legal), 2 northerns.  White spinnerbaits fished in 3-4 ft. of water.  The east end of the lake produced all the action.

5/15/04 Delavan Lake - Morning - sunny, wind SW at 5 mph.  Air temp 45 degrees. Water temp 66 degrees.  Caught 4 walleyes, 1 northern.  Casted crankbaits on the weed lines.  The fish were in 12-15 ft. of water.  The Yacht club was the best spot.

5/12/04 Delavan Lake - 70 degrees, fished the afternoon. Partly cloudy, severe thunderstorm.  Fished one hour before the weather chased us away.  Caught 3 largemouth (one legal - 18")  Fished spinner baits in boat launch channel.  (no fish) Fish were caught on nightcrawlers in 4-6 ft. by Lake Lawn Lodge.  Single hook - split shot method was used.

5/9/04 Delavan Lake - 75 degrees - partly cloudy.  Wind out of the South at 10 mph.  Caught 2 walleyes (20 and 21 inches) and one 30 inch northern.  Casted crankbaits on the windy shore.  Best depth was 12-15 ft. Very few boats on the water due to an extreme front overnight.

5/8/04 Lake Geneva - 48 degrees - 76 degrees later in the day.  Rain then sun.  Winds calm to 10 mph out of the SE.  Water temp 49 degrees.  Fished a tournament.  Caught 1 smallmouth bass 4 lbs 11 oz.  Fishing was slow. A lot of people didn't catch any.  The winning weight was 19 lbs.  for 6 fish.  Jerk Baits in 8-12 ft. of water produced most of the fish.  I fished hair jigs in 12-14 ft. of water.  I fished the break line near spawning flats.            

5/5/04 Lake Como- partly cloudy/cloudy, wind SE at 5 mph.  Water temp 63 degrees. Air temp 60 degrees.  Caught 12 largemouth bass, 4 legal.  The biggest was 3.2 lbs.  Fished the east end of the lake in the reeds.  Spinner baits were the best.  Grape worms produced some smaller fish.  The worms were fished on a split shot rig.  We worked 3-4 ft. of water.

5/2/04 Lake Como - partly cloudy, 44 degrees, some rain, water temp 55 degrees.  Winds NE at 10 mph.  Caught 3 large mouth.  The largest fish was 3 lbs.  Fished the east end all the fish were caught on purple plastic worms Texas rigged.  The cold weather made fishing tough.

5/1/04 Lake Geneva - cloudy, 44 degrees, light rain, water temp 47 degrees.  Winds N at 5 mph.  Got Skunked!  Fished Cisco beach, Elgin Club and both sides of Black Point and in the Abbey.  Saw many fish shallow but they just wouldn't bite.  Fished numerous depths to no avail.
